National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Event Goes Online

Stamp Out Hunger Donor DriveApril 30, 2021: The 2021 National Association of Letter Carriers’ (NALC) annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will be an online donor drive. Traditionally held the second Saturday each May, this is the second year the NALC has moved the drive online due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead of leaving food donations at their mailboxes, postal customers are asked to donate to their local food banks.

“Our help is now needed as much, or more so, than ever,” NALC President Fredric Rolando said in announcing what is being called the Stamp Out Hunger Donor Drive. Rolando emphasized the union “is committed to conducting the food drive when it is safe to do so.”

Donations given through the Stamp Out Hunger online drive will stay local, benefitting the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas and its network of more than 140 non-profit agencies and programs.

“We are so grateful for the continued support from the National Association of Letter Carriers,” Corporate Partnerships Coordinator for the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas Amber Horton said. “Their hard work over the past 28 years has helped feed so many families right here in Northeast Arkansas.”
