Groundbreaking Ceremony


The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the new 56,000 square-foot Donald W. Reynolds Charitable Food Distribution Center that will be located on 6.5 acres of land in the Henry P. Jones III Business Park on One Place in Jonesboro, AR.

 

Walmart State Giving Grant

Continuing its commitment to supporting hunger relief, the Walmart Foundation recently awarded $35,000 to the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas. Given as part of the Walmart Foundation’s State Giving Program, the grant funds will be used to purchase nutritious, easy to prepare foods as part of the Food Bank's Senior Pack Program. Additionally, the Food Bank will strive to include foods with lower salt and sugar content in the Senior Packs, using healthier choices of food items whenever possible.

Food Bank Brick Campaign

In the path leading to the front door of the new facility, the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas has reserved a special place for 100 engraved paving stones. You can show your support of the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas with a gift to the "Building Hope . . . Feeding the Hungry" campaign.

 

Walmart-FA Truck Grant

At a time when more and more families in Northeast Arkansas face the threat of going hungry, the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas and Feeding America announced today that the Walmart Foundation has donated a refrigerated food truck to the organization. Valued at $94,576, the vehicle will be used to deliver fruit, vegetables and other nutritious foods to pantries, soup kitchens, and other emergency feeding centers throughout Northeast Arkansas.
