Thank you to the Walmart Foundation for contributing $18,900 to the Food Bank in support of the Retail Store Donation Program!  Through this program, the Food Bank and its network of partner agencies receive food that is near the expiration date or because the boxes or cans are dented.  Instead of throwing out this safe, nutritious food, it is given to families at-risk of hunger in Northeast Arkansas.

The grant allows the Food Bank to promote the program and educate store employees on food safety and donation guidelines.

When disaster strikes, like the recent flooding, it takes a whole community working together to rebuild. The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas will accept donations of food, cleaning supplies, and money to assist families during the recovery process. We will distribute these donations through partner agencies located in the communities affected by flooding. $1 donated = 4 meals.
