Hunger Action Month

About Hunger Action Month

Hunger impacts people in every corner of the country, including 71,800 of our neighbors in Northeast Arkansas. Lines at food distributions continue to grow because of COVID-19 and rising unemployment. Feeding America estimates an additional 17 million people could face food insecurity in 2020. That means the number of food insecure people in the U.S. could reach up to 54 million people.

For the month of September, the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas and Feeding America® food banks across the nation are taking part in Hunger Action Month. We hope to inspire people to take action and bring attention to the reality of food insecurity in America.
